With over 20 years of Orthopaedic Physiotherapy experience, Colleen brings extensive knowledge and an engaging enthusiasm for patient care to our clinic. She has advanced training in manual therapy, biomechanical assessment, exercise prescription, acupuncture, and trigger point dry needling. Her treatment philosophy is based on identifying underlying dysfunctions that may be contributing to the presenting problem… so don’t be surprised if she looks at your neck and shoulder areas when you present with elbow pain :)
Colleen is the owner and clinical director of Eagleson Place Physiotherapy. She graduated from McGill University in 1992 and worked in a variety of clinical settings including National Defence Medical Centre, Montfort Hospital, and Renfrew Victoria Hospital, before opening her own practice in Ottawa in 1997. She considers herself to be very fortunate to spend her days with such a wonderful group of associates, staff, and patients….and she loves her work!

Sheila MacMillan is a registered physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She completed her Bachelors of Science (Physical Therapy) at Queen’s University in 1984 after graduating with a Bachelors of Physical and Health Education and a Bachelors of Arts in 1981.
Since graduating her clinical focus has been the assessment and treatment of orthopaedic and sports related injuries and she has worked in both public and private practice. She has attended numerous continuing education courses and conferences in the areas of sports, orthopaedics, exercise therapy, as well as other areas of physiotherapy. She has also attended world physiotherapy and low world back pain conferences.
Combining more than 34 years of clinical practice, professional development, continuing education, and experience in exercise science, Sheila strives to work with her clients and provide the best possible care. When practicing she also likes to draw on her experiences as an athlete, coach, musician, parent, volunteer, outdoor enthusiast and international traveler. Sheila is passionate about life long learning, staying active and balance in life.
